This will come as no surprise, but Sound Transit’s application to actually build the University Station light rail facility was just approved by the city. The two story facility will include a pedestrian bridge that crosses over Montlake Blvd. Of course, construction work has already been going on for over a year at the site next to Husky Stadium. The next phase of construction includes nighttime work that could happen between the hours of 10pm to 7am on weekdays and 10pm to 9am on weekends and legal holidays over the next two years. You can track the project here.

About time! We’ve got to get this done eventually. People will rant for a millenia re: things they do not want. But we have to move forward.
