Some U-District residents awoke early this morning to hear windows being smashed out of cars.  Seattle Police responded to the 4200 block of Brooklyn Ave around 2am where a man had broken out at least 10 car windows.  Witnesses say the man had two backpacks with him that he appeared to be loading up with stolen items.  One caller told police that the man was armed with a hatchet and threw it at him before running away.  Police eventually caught up to the man on the University Bridge and arrested him.
